Bubble Packaging

multiple_medsBubble Packaging is also known as Blister Packs, Bingo cards or Calendar cards.

Never heard of a blister pack? That is the name given to the plastic bubbles that are used to package mostly over-the-counter medications that come in flat boxes. It makes it safe, convenient and easy to manage medication.

Medications are synchronized and filled in a 28 to 31 day cycle. Each Rx is prepared into its own blister card and taken as directed per the prescription. Each dose is punched out of the blister according to the calendar.

This form of dispensing may be required by special needs patients, residents in assisted living homes, nursing homes and Summer Camps. This is how nursing homes have been keeping patients’ medications straight for years, so why shouldn’t your family benefit from the technology at home?

The Blister Pack System is ideal for those:

  • Having difficulty managing their medications.
  • Has multiple medications.
  • Has multiple doses during the day.
  • Allowing family or a caregiver to monitor medication compliance.

Other benefits:

  • Can accommodate over the counter (OTC) medications and nutritional supplements in addition to the Rx medications.
  • May allow a senior or aging parent to continue their independence in their own home.
  • May allow for a special needs person to have more independence.
  • Can give family or caregiver more peace of mind that their loved one is taking their medication correctly.
  • Saves patient, family, or caregivers time from having to set up medications.
